We have partnered with a Toledo, OH facility that is hiring 1st Shift General Labor / Assembly Associates to build retractable tarping systems for semi-trailers.
* Measure, cut, assemble, repair, and install materials for tarping systems
* Operate equipment including drills, scissor lifts, grinders, buffers, and pallet jacks
* Perform measurements using a ruler and add/subtract fractions
* Move materials from ground to work tables (bending, kneeling, crawling required)
* Attach tarps to the tarping system by pushing, pulling, and maneuvering large tarps across metal rails
* Use hand tools to build beams, rails, and structural components
* Inspect finished products for quality
* Package and label completed materials
* Read and interpret instructions and work orders
* Lift and pull materials up to 75 lbs
* Experience with hand tools and power tools (drills, etc.)
* Previous general labor, construction, or assembly experience preferred
* Strong math skills and ability to read a ruler
* Comfortable working at heights (scissor lift up to 10-12 ft)
* Ability to stand, bend, twist, kneel, and perform physical work for extended periods
* Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs repeatedly
* Ability to work at a fast pace and perform repetitive tasks
* Strong attention to safety
* High School Diploma or GED
* Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
* Must be available to stay until 4:00-5:00 PM when needed, or as early as 5:30am
* Saturday overtime is mandatory when needed
* $17/hour
