The Advance Group has partnered with a well-established precision manufacturing company in Monroe, MI to hire an experienced CNC Operator for an immediate Direct Hire opportunity.

We’re looking for a self-motivated machinist who can work independently while supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

CNC Operator Responsibilities

As a CNC Operator, you will:

• Operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture precision-machined components
• Set up CNC machines, select tooling, and make program edits to optimize production
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
• Produce custom, stock, and repair components to exact customer specifications
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to meet production schedules
• Assist in mentoring less experienced machinists as needed

Qualifications

To be successful in this CNC machining position, you should have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of four (4) years of CNC machining experience
• Experience operating both CNC milling and CNC turning equipment
• Vocational or technical machining education preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming
• Mazatrol programming experience preferred
• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Dial indicators
  • Gauges
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
