Industrial Maintenance Opportunity in Westland, MI

The Advance Group has partnered with a leading foundry and heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Westland, MI to hire a skilled Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and continuous operations.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Maintain and repair foundry and production equipment including furnaces, conveyors, molding machines, compressors, pumps, and dust collection systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and reduce production downtime
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
• Conduct inspections and perform equipment adjustments or repairs
• Install, align, and replace machine components as needed
• Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately
• Work closely with production teams to support uptime and efficiency
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Requirements for Maintenance Technician

• Industrial maintenance experience required
• Foundry or heavy manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Schedule & Pay

• Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Voluntary Saturday overtime available
• Pay rate: $17.50/hr-$20.00/hr based on experience
